Colin Harrison

Colin Harrison

November 14th to January 9th

Lower level Gallery

Colin Harrison is a native of northern England and he lived for some thirty years in Brookfield. He is an engineer and researcher by profession and a photographer since the age of seven by avocation. Often these two passions have intertwined in the development of scientific and medical imaging systems. Colins intent is to help the viewer see the abstract patterns that are found in familiar scenes and to understand the world in terms of these patterns. This approach is often non-representational and such images are often mistaken for watercolour paintings. He has studied in recent years with Kunio Owaki, Freeman Patterson, and the Santé †e Workshop. He exhibits regularly in western Connecticut and can be reached at cgh260247@aol.com

Sally Anderson Bruce

Sally Anderson-Bruce

November 14th to January 9th

Upper Level Gallery
Sally Andersen-Bruce’s photographs of animals have been featured by the US Postal Service in the celebrated Spay and Neuter postage stamp series and the current Adopt A Shelter Pet series. In this exhibit Sally brings her keen eye and deep regard for each spirit before her lens to a group of dogs and cats whose hard lives have ended up so much happier than anyone could have expected. The compassion and generosity of the many people who rescued and adopted these animals serves as inspiration to Sally, as she continues to photograph these animals and to search for a publisher of her portraits and stories about rescue animals.

Two of the animals in the exhibit have not been adopted.

A percentage of all sales will be donated to The Animal Welfare Society of New Milford

Sally can be reached at www.sabphoto.com

Artist statement: I treat the rescue animals with the same respect and admiration that I bring into my corporate photo sessions
